The Strawberry Moon is the full moon in June. Also called the "Birth Moon" by the Tlingit people of the Pacific Northwest for the animals that give birth during this time, the full moon marks the beginning of summer. This is the summer of your life-- after the winter of your childhood and the spring of your youth, you're ready to settle down for summer and start a family.

I love to learn. I'm always in extra classes or signed up for workshops so I can learn more. Whether it be math, literary analysis, or how to comfort a laboring person, I strive to feel confident and well-educated in every situation, and I want to help you feel that way, too.
To quote DONA International, "[a doula is] a trained professional who provides continuous physical, emotional and informational support to their client before, during and shortly after childbirth to help them achieve the healthiest, most satisfying experience possible."
As your doula, I will answer or help you seek information to address any questions you might have, as well as supporting you with physical comfort measures during birth and offering emotional counsel and coping skills throughout the perinatal period.
I will also assist with fostering open and clear communication between you and your partner, family, and healthcare providers. Your birth experience isn't just affected by the situations that occur during labor, but how they come about and how you respond to them, too.
I offer LGBTQ+ informed care. You will be served the same regardless of you and your partner's gender identities, and I will use any language you request to respect and validate you and your partner's gender identities.
I am fluent in English, proficient in Spanish, and a beginner in ASL.
I am working toward being a DONA certified doula.
I attend Cal Poly SLO University, so I can service San Luis Obispo county. I am willing to negotiate exceptions if you're just outside of this range.
I want to help you have the most gratifying birth experience possible. Your satisfaction is my priority!
Me and my darling boy, Bo.
I am a freshman at Cal Poly SLO University majoring in English. I love animals, from opossums to frogs to horses. I rode horses for a long time, and am getting back into it after an injury. I use they/them pronouns and identify as a lesbian. I'm very open about my sexuality, gender identity, and my struggles with mental illness, Autism, and ADHD. I am Latina, with my father being fully Chilean. In my free time, I can be found writing fiction, shopping at Barnes and Noble with my mom, cuddling my dog against his will, feeding the neighborhood cat, and talking all things birth with my family.
